Woodbury Pond will not re-open this year.

According to an article in the briefs section of the Times Herald Record dated August 7, 2008, Central Valley Pond will stay closed for the rest of the summer because workers couldn't clear the murky water enough to meet health requirements. John Burke told the THR that a chemical treatment that helped clarify the the water last month prompted him to announce that the pond may still open this season but was washed away after the recent rainfall clouded the water again.
